For Ystad, high capacity and environmental requirements were two key aspects of the [PŻB228] project. We used a sulfur- and nitrogen-oxide-free LNG drive and fuel-saving solutions. The significant length of the load lines and the relatively large capacity of 11,000 T ensured transport efficiency. The result was a well-thought-out and refined ferry, which guaranteed the profitability of the whole undertaking for the shipowner.
Mr. Stanisław Domagałło, Chief Designer
NED-Project provides the design and engineering of RoPax vessels in cooperation with key suppliers, shipyards, and owners. With the owner’s profit and passengers’ satisfaction as well as environmental regulations in mind, we create ferries that are both profit-generating and eco-friendly.
Regardless of the scale of the project – whether it’s a compact and affordable ferry for a short coastal route or a bigger unit providing transport and leisure – we have the knowledge and tools to make the best of the provided budget and foreseen space. Our team of naval designers, engineers, architects, and managers develop a complete project, from the first draft to the finished product, making sure the whole process goes worry-free for the owner. As an added advantage, we employ 3D modeling and VR solutions to present the owner with a complete view of the project and discuss any adjustments long before the construction begins.
Recognizing current market conditions and environmental regulations, we propose technological solutions that are aimed at maximizing the economic viability of the investment for the shipowner whilst complying with current and upcoming environmental legislation. Such equipment as vertical wind power generators and low-emission dual-fuel engines are a standard for us, and a new benchmark for all of the marine industry.
