In the course of CFD tests and technical analyses of the Trimor project, a trimaran shape was selected for the unit as ensuring the best sea performance for the research and maintenance of wind farms. It is particularly satisfying that the design was selected in a competition by the Maritime Institute, from among concepts developed by other Polish design offices as well as by reputable foreign offices.
Mr. Jerzy Pietrzak – Technical Director
NED-Project has developed several special designs. These include research and rescue vessels, such as widely recognized Trimor and Skagerak, the research units developed respectively for the Maritime Institute in Gdańsk and the University of Gothenburg.
For us, the most important part of a successful research vessel design process is correctly defining all of its purposes and finding the optimal ways to fulfill them. This means not only equipping the vessel with specialized machinery and devices, but also providing the staff with suitable working spaces and preparing the vessel to withstand the conditions of its deployment area. This way, we are able to deliver research and rescue vessels that are both highly efficient and safe.
